50 Shades of doing the Buffalo Bill Mangina Dance!

Apparently while making playlists on Spotify, I came across this playlist:
"This collection features a selection of classical music referenced in E.L James' best selling Fifty Shades of Grey book, along with other music inspired by the trilogy."

Now I know what to play when I bust out my butt-clamps and do the Buffalo Bill Mangina dance!

would you fuck me? I'd fuck me!

Y: The Last Man Rising [Fan Film]

A fan film made from one of my all time favorite comic series, "Y The Last Man". This needs to be made into a TV series not a movie.

Muppet Babies: My theory behind the story.

I was reading this article from Cracked:

Why 'Saved by the Bell' is All a Dream: A Conspiracy Theory

When I felt the urge to write about my theory behind one of my favorite Saturday Morning cartoons, "The Muppet Babies"

Muppet Babies:

The Muppet babies,  if you were not privileged to watch this as a kid, was about the Muppets ( If you don't know who  the Muppets are, then you are not my friend. Seriously) as kids/toddlers growing up in a nursery together. The series stars Kermit the Frog, miss Piggy, Fozzie the bear, Animal, Scooter, Skeeter, Rowlf the Dog, and Gonzo, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and beaker made regular appearances as well. They all were looked after by a character that just went by the name, "Nanny". All the Muppet babies would go on adventures in the giant nursery with  just their imaginations and used whatever toys as props to further fuel the adventures that they would have.

My Theory:

I believe that the whole world of The Muppet Babies is the product of a neglected child's imagination, and the child is no other than Nanny herself.  It is Nanny that is stuck in a huge nursery with all of her Muppet stuffed toys. Being alone all the time she craves the companionship and the love from others that she imagines the Muppets, her toys as other children in the nursery. She imagines herself as the Nanny of these babies and cares for them in the way that she wants to be cared for.

In the Theme song it says,

"When the world looks kind of weird and you wish you weren't there. Just close your eyes and make believe  and you can be anywhere"

I believe that Nanny, being so young she doesn't quite understand the world she lives in. All alone in the nursery she is left with child like wonder and she plays out scenarios with the use of her Muppet toys to figure out life lessons. Sometimes the world that she created and the adventures she plays out gets too much for a child to understand that she interjects herself within the imagination as an adult figure, "Nanny" and gives the voice of reason to her Muppet Babies adventures. It's all very inception like.

*insert Inception sound effect here*

"I imagined you imagining me!"

In the picture above, this is the only view of Nanny that we see. Within the imagination and adventures whenever there is any other adults in them they are always viewed the same way, from the waist down and never showing the faces. I believe its because this is how toddlers view adults. They live in a world that is run by giants and mostly always see just the waist down of adults at eye level. This gives the presence of authority to children where they always have to look up to adults.

In the picture, we see the attire of Nanny that is a purple shirt, a pink skirt, green and white striped stockings and purple shoes. This is something a child would choose to wear. When she imagines herself talking to her toys, she pictures herself as tall as an adult but still wearing an outfit of a child.

   There you have it!

That's my take on the Muppet Babies. I'd like to think that each character of the Muppets represent different parts of Nanny's personality traits. In an alternative theory, I also like to think that Nanny is a mentally ill child that is unable to speak and stuck in a Mental Institution. The doctors there would use the Muppet toys as a way to help communicate with her. Asking her to  pretend to be the role of Nanny to the toys. What we see every episode is a breakthrough from her troubled psyche and sometimes Star Wars!

I have another theory behind another cartoon, "The Snorks"

I'll probably write about it tomorrow if it's dead at work.

HAHA! Tumblr!

I was editing a couple of  Tumblr blogs when i had to agree to new agreements. This is what found within it.

I Got Songify! Cheddar & Provolone!

My friend Alissa and I were hanging out late last night at the bar. She tells me that I had to see this new Ap she got for her iPhone called Songify. She starts the ap and tells me to talk about something.

I asked her, "Talk about what?"
"Talk about something fun." She said.

In my own drunkenness, I proceeded to  talk about making a grilled cheese sandwich. This is the result of that recording.

Download this episode (right click and save)

I fucking died when I heard this and to share it with the rest of the world. I immediately downloaded the Ap and thought about auto tuning some of my voice mails I get from work.

Here is a Video of the developers discussing the ap and its features.

From the website, KHU.SH

February 4th, 2012We had a chance to demo both LaDiDa and Songify at D: Dive Into Media earlier this week. It was a great follow-up to Neil Young’s appeal to take music back to what he considers to be “100% quality”. And of course Parag stole the show with his bad singing. But the best part by far was getting Peter Kafka to sing on stage ;)

FUCK THAT BOOTY!

I was creating a playlist on Spotify called, Jam Out with your Clam Out! and I put on one of my favorite female Front-women, Wendy O Williams from the Plasmatics. I realized that this past Friday April 6th marked the 14 year mark since her death. How I wished to see them perform and blow up a full size car on stage and chainsaw the fuck out of  a guitars.Wend was so ahead of her time. Hope you found some solace where ever you are, Wendy. Below is a few of my favorite songs from The Plasmatics.

First time I heard of them was from MTV when they played, "The Damned"

LOVE THIS ONE! Going to play this on the next podcast of The Elvis & Alfred Show

Found the Bevis & Butthead clip of them watching the Damned.

Here is a documentary of the Plastmatics

Are you fucking serious?!?

You fucking kids are killing me! I can't believe this shit sometimes. Do you even think before posting  shit like this? They probably think James Cameron was the captain of the ship as well. I weep for the future.

Misfits and God Bless America!

I've been watching The Misfits on Hulu the past few days and I really enjoy t. It kinda like Heroes if Heroes had balls to be this funny. This clip made me laugh for a really long time. It's one of the main characters reaction to hearing some hippie bullshit antics for getting community service.

Can't wait for this movie to come out!

Want To See LEGO ‘Shaun Of The Dead’ Become A Reality? Help Make It Happen Now!

The Movie God  |
Shaun of the Dead
Back in January we found out about an amazing LEGO recreation of the eternally awesome horror-comedy, Shaun of the Dead.
At the time it was just a great fan-made item none of us could get our hands on, but as it turns out, owning your own LEGO Shaun of the Deadis not impossible…with a little help from you and you and I and you.
While visiting Conan O’Brien recently, star Simon Pegg let it be known that if fans show their support of making this a LEGO reality—to the tune of about 10,000 people—it could become available in the future.
Head below to find out where you can help and to see a video of Pegg onConan.

At the moment, there is already over 7,000 fans supporting the project. If it does reach 10,000, LEGO will then enter it into the review stages where the company will decide whether they can ultimately make money on it or not.

Here is Simon Pegg on Conan.

This Saturday Elvis, Jay and I are going to meet Stan Lee. I can't wait! STAN THE FUCKING MAN LEE!
We're going to venture into the city for I have a few hard cover books for him to sign. We also get a picture taken as well. I'm hoping I find my press pass from comic con of 2011 to get signed as well.

I found this video today of a drunk that got arrested and he sings Bohemian Rhapsody in the back of the squad car. It sounded eerily similar when we sing the song at the bar.

My First Mayorship!

In Other New! Ron Burgandy Stops by Conan!

Hunger Battle Royale Games!

I just finished watching, "Hunger Games". Now I don't like giving reviews on movies because I'm not much of a critic you should trust their opinion. Yeah I watch a shit ton of movies, Yeah I own over 400 dvds. When it comes down to it. I just really enjoy a good story.

So the Hunger Games......There's this dude.

Yep. That's the guy from, 'American Beauty'. He should of got "The most beautiful thing he has ever filmed" and cover his fucking head with it to hide that ridiculous beard.

This a screen shot of Lenny Kravitz playing... Lenny Kravitz? This guy couldn't act his way out of Seneca's most beautiful thing he has ever filmed. His part was to be a stylist for the tributes as they were to be presented to the new pastel wearing evil empire. I pretty much said to myself  "HEY! It's Lenny Kravitz!" every time he was on screen....Yeah thats that.

The story began with the intro stating that after a great war, the victors now request from 12 different enslavement camps  that two children (one boy and one girl) from the ages of 12-17 be picked by lottery to participate in The Running Man  The Hunger Games. A survival tournament where its also televised for the new empire entertainment.  The participants are called Tributes and trained in the art of survival war games....Survival war games?....Children? Where have I seen this before? hmmmmmm?

OH FUCKING YEAH!
 IT'S BATTLE ROYALE!!!!!

Which by the way is a far better movie than Woody Harelson's wig  The Hunger Games.
Save your money and wait until its on cable.

Funky Fresh Soul SUCKA!!!

I love funk soul and old school Motown sounds. I love record collecting and the experience it takes from digging through old record stores (when I can find them) to goodwill and thrift stores. Recently I came accross a blog named, "Flea Market Funk" .

From their About Us page:

What is Flea Market Funk? Flea Market Funk is an all vinyl blog run by DJ Prestige focusing on Funk, Soul, Jazz and Reggae music based out of Brooklyn, NY. Flea Market Funk is also a tribute to the art of the DJ, Hip Hop music, and the culture that goes along with it. I preserve the music and culture through my reviews, mixes, interviews, guest mixes, and the like. FMF has you covered from dusty 45′s to out of print Lps to sampling to live music to Modern Funk and Soul to producing to Classic Hip Hop and more. It’s all about “the way we live”.

I love the mixes he has on the website, it reminds me of the selection of records I always look for when I shop. There is a feeling of joy in finding that soul funky sound of old forgotten records after digging through bin after bin that can only be expressed by record collecting. That's half the fun of records, the search for the sound, the feel of going through stacks and stacks of used records in dollar bins. The smell of old cardboard and vinyl that always perminates old record stores.

Below is a video that captures a few D.J's and their vinyl obbsession.

From "Flea Market Funk" .:

Listen as they share there thoughts on the subject of vinyl digging as you enter the realm of the last true culture where music is key and collecting is a part of life.” Really great stuff.

Put the shaving cream away, cultivate that mustache, have a pint of Ale, and turn on some World Cup reruns because it’s time for a party. 100% vinyl all day every day. FMF vintage warm up with 45 adapter applique extra!

Spring is Here! And shit I found on the Net Today.

Spring is here! With that comes the nesting Geese. These little fuckers will chase you away from the nesting area. I watch them every Spring doing so and I always have the Benny Hill song playing in my head when it happens. I never could really like these creatures. They are blessed with the gift of flight and yet they choose to walk everywhere.

I've been obsessed over these T-Shirts lately. I just bought this one on Amazon.

This one too! This is my favorite! I can't wait to wear it.

Found this picture and it made me laugh.

Watched this today, been a fan of the Zeitgeist series since the fisrt video became a cult hit.

On The Road.

The first time I read, "On The Road" I was about 15 years old. I remember being at that age of discovering cult fiction and wanted to see for myself as to why so many have this on their list of must reads. I fell in love with this book. The way the sentences flowed, the eccentric prose and the fluidity of it all. It had me at many of times reading it out loud just so I can hear what it sounded like. Come to think of it, I should look for it if it  is available as an audible book.

I love the age and the time this was all taken place too. An era when hitchhiking was a viable option for transportation. The way the main character, Sal traveled coast to coast with $50 and sometimes even less. I daydreamed of travelling and viewing the nation in the same manners as Dean, all carefree and just really enjoying the moments of  living. Going where ever the winds take you. The freedom from the tired lives of the mundane structure of societal norms. I wonder the amazement of being there when the birth of Jazz and Rock and roll was happening in old smokey hole in the wall bars and clubs. I was really taken for a ride with this book.

I've re-read the book a couple of time throughout my life. It's funny how certain aspects of the book affected me at different ages. How I've changed growing from a a wide eyed teenager filled with awe, the feeling of excitement of discovering new ideas and life experiences. The fire, the ambition I've carried with me at the time thinking I too can blaze a trail into adulthood. "On The Road" always taught me to enjoy it all. Friendships, events, the beauty of life, the love I feel as well as the heartaches I've endured. To take it all in in. There is a quote from Rashi  that reminds me of this book.

"Receive with simplicity everything that happens to you"
-Rashi

I try to live my life in that way because in the end what are we really left with? Just the memories and the stories we carry.

In 2007 I was also fortunate enough to see "The Scroll". The famous teletype paper that Jack Kerouac typed the first draft of the novel at The New York Public Library in NYC. Jack typed on this roll of translucent paper in single typed space and he corrected any typos or added notes with pencil. At the end, it measured 127 feet. Three years of collecting stories of traveling across the nation almost three times for the book and it  measured into a little over a hundred feet. At the NYC Library about 30 feet of the scroll was rolled out for display inside this giant glass showcase.  I loved looking at it. It was impressive to see how tiny the words looked. I've read stories of how Jack was on some Benzynine-or something or some sort of drug that helped him type so prolific. I thought about that as I went up and own that showcase just trying to read The Scroll.

The first time I heard about a movie was going to be made was about the same time I went to see The Scroll. I was afraid that Hollywood wouldn't be able to do it any justice. I always put in consideration that the adaptation wouldn't hold a torch to the book. I just always have to remind myself whenever I watch a movie made from a book that I enjoy, is to always treat it as a different take on someone else view. It's a new medium  and should be treated as such. Just like reading about an animal like a fox. You can see pictures of a fox and learn its habits and what type of sounds it can make. Then to actually see it in real life moving and watching the mannerisms as they happen.

The same but different.

Francis Ford Coppola bought the movie rights in 1980 for $95,000 when Russel Banks approached him with a screenplay for 'On The Road". After watching the 2004 adaptation of "The Motorcycle Diaries", Francis decided on Walter Salles to head the production  of "On The Road".

I'm excited for this. I'm a big fan of  "The Motorcycle Diaries". It was just a few weeks ago I came across the movie playing one late night. I remember thinking to myself of the similarities of the travels of the characters of Ernesto & Alberto and Sal & Dean. Not sure of the casting though. I'm going to stop here because my shift is over now and I feel like a complete fanboy ranting about it. I'll address this some other time.

Here is the Trailer to the Motorcycle Diaries. You should watch it.

What pi sounds like and Where I've been

HAPPY Pi DAY! NERRRDS! I'm going to start posting more shit on here that I usually post on Facebook. Only because I'm tired of not getting credit for finding shit on the net. Or having people say that they never saw it posted to their wall when in fact I know very well that I have.

My job I get the glorious task to sit in front of a computer anywhere from 8-10 hours a day 7 days a week. I have grown accustomed to the daily grind where I can maneuver anywhere between 10 different prompts at the same time at any given moment throughout my shift. Usually opening various rss feeds to blogs, websites, forums where I can scourge the internet for interesting data. Here it will be date stamp so future arguments will be invalid because I know I was right.

never again will I have the mundane conversations of:

"Did you see (INSERT ANY VIDEO/LINK/NEWS HERE)?"

"YEAH! I posted that months ago."

"No you haven't "

"YESIHAVE!! YEARRRGHHH!"

Besides that, I have completed the 365 project and I have taken a break from video vlogs. It has been longer than expected because I wanted to spend more time with organizing my notes and ideas in a more concise fashion for The Elvis and Alfred Show. Hopefully with more research I will start moving the show to a new format. We were pioneers once about a year ago, once I tried incorporating the live video feed, but since then most podcast I have been listening too already started to follow the trend while we fell by the way side. I'm bringing it back regardless if Elvis doesn't understand the importance being ahead of the curve.

So yeah, that was basically the winter for me. I'm going to start again with my videos, it would be stupid at this point to not make a regular scheduled video. I decided to start doing another YouTube channel for my iPhone. There I'm going to do daily videos of just mini vlogs of one takes. That will be everyday but my main channel will most likely be more edited and more planned for content. I'm going to keep the integrity of being my daily life just with more production value.

Haven't been here in awhile. Is there anybody out there? ( Myspace Blog)

I posted this on my Myspace page, felt like posting it on here. Yes..I still have a Myspace account and sometimes I actually post on there.

Haven't been here in awhile. Is there anybody out there?

Its funny to come back here and to see a part of me that i almost forgot. Fucking Myspace. I remember this being THE social networking community. I was about 21-23 years old when i first started being on here because of Elvis wanted to promote our band. At the time it really was a Space to pimp out your band and communicate with other musicians through their bands profile. People who liked the band would also create a profile and share them with their friends. Simple and practical place in the net. At the time Facebook was only opened to invites through colleges and was definitely not the way it is today with invitations to someones online "mafia" family or the self gratuitousness arrogant status updates. Friendster was still a major player in the game as well. But i was never on there, cause i felt like Myspace was enough as well as Handling only a few online forums and a Hotmail account. Now i have a blog, a vlog, twitter, Facebook, YouTube, several email accounts for personal business, work, family, dozen other online forums, podcast, Flickr, pod-bean, fuck it to hell i'm all over the god damn net now!

Its funny coming back here and trying to remember the person i was back then. How trivial things were and how I blew them out of proportion, and how certain small moments I took for granted then, and the guilt i feel now because I cherish those moments most of all.

I don't even know why I stopped over here in the first place, I guess i just wanted to see if i had an account still. I know this is a dead space where I can just type and not care who reads this anymore. Not like my other blogs and other online activities i participate where i only want a certain audience to see/read me. ....I shouldn't be that way. I should just be honest with myself, i mean i already put up my life on YouTube for all to see what i have been up to for the year 2011. I remember putting up blogs here not caring what people thought. I just felt like I had a story to tell.

So, Hello old friend, thanks for giving me an outlet then and i guess even now. I'm glad you didn't de-activate my account. I'm glad were still friends, Myspace. I'll stop by every now and again.

January 1st, 2012 A New Year!

Photo Challenge #1- Me

So I stole this from my friend Tom Tappit. I'm down to a new challenge and hoping this will sharpen my Photo Skills.

So #1- A Picture of me

Here is me!
It is a new year and I am happy to report that I have successfully completed my Project 365. I recorded something about me everyday for the year 2011. It has opened my eyes as well as my mind to allot of things. Stuff I never really realized about myself. I used to be so afraid of the camera, people taking pictures of  me, seeing myself in other people videos. I was just uncomfortable with it.

In the beginning of the project I didn't even address the camera until day #30. After awhile of editing and seeing myself everyday through my videos, I just got so used to seeing myself in pictures and my own videos those feelings just went away. Then I just started seeing myself  as a separate character in my own life.
It's all very meta...Or sociopathical....maybe  both.

So, now I can say i'm somewhat more comfortable in my own shoes. Or watching myself wear shoes rather.
